Sinemada 50'li Yıllardan Beri Kullanılarak Klasik Haline Gelmiş Bir Ses Efekti: Wilhelm Çığlığı
Wilhelm çığlığı, ilk kez 1951 senesinde Distant Drums adlı bu film ile başladı. Sesi kaydedilen çığlık, bu filmle birlikte 300'den fazla başka filmde kullanılmış.
Bu çığlık sesi ismini ise The Charge at Feather River filminde Wilhelm adlı askerin at üzerindeyken bacağından okla vurulmasından alıyor. Çığlık sesinin kullanıldığı bu sahneyle birlikte bu ses artık "Wilhelm Çığlığı" olarak anılmaya başlıyor.
wilhelm çığlığı, bir nevi ses sanatçılarının easter egg'i. insan yıllarca izlediği filmlerin içinden çekip çıkarınca, onu kendi koymuş gibi mutlu oluyor, detaylarla iyice bir keyfe geliyor. orijinal 1951 yılında, iyice popülerleşmesi ilk star wars filmiyle olmuştur. zaten en çok ölen şapşal stormtrooperlara yakışır bence. son yıllarda toplam kullanıldığı film sayısı 200'ü geçmiştir artık.
